Every time Quinn Popcorn runs a batch of their popcorn, they end up with some leftover boxes. Instead of throwing them all away, they’ve decided to “upcycle” them as business cards, cutting them into the right sizes and then using custom stamps to mark them. Creative, practical and good for the environment? Win.

Grabbed these temporary Tattly knuckle tattoos today from Story, a cool shop on 10th Avenue and 19th Street. Story bills itself as “a retail space that has the point of view of a magazine, changes like a gallery and sells things like a store.” It’s worth checking out.

Whimsical industrial design is whipped up into something entirely practical with the Kozo Man Desk Lamp (by Kozo Lamp). Besides serving as an extra light source, the magnetic hands can keep track of your keys, paper clips, staples, etc.

Now this is a treehouse. Dubbed the Minister’s Treehouse, this structure is 100 feet tall and was built by minister Horace Burgess in Tennessee. The building wraps around a giant tree and boasts an estimated 10,000 square feet inside, including a four-story swing set. The photo above is by Chuck Sutherland. (via Colossal)

Blackboard Clock, by Diamantini & Domeniconi

What’s not to like about this? It’s a never-ending art project, disguised as a clock. I’m sold.

My sister’s college graduation was an all-day affair. which meant that her school provided lunch. I expected the usual chaos that accompanies an outdoor catered lunch for thousands, but instead was greeting by the above. Hundreds upon hundreds of these bagged lunches, clearly labeled, and scattered out on about 60 - 80 long tables. No crowd, no mess, no way to grab the wrong bag - just stupidly smart event planning. I was impressed.

Loving these creative takes on business cards, especially the Google & free lunch ones. Pretty sure half the reason I ordered cards was for the chance to win free food. (via holland-cavaletti)
