I entered a contest through Immaculate Infatuation…the prize being “Bitter Feast.” I won, so obviously when SB and CR came to stay, we had to watch it.
Movie synopsis (courtesy of wikipedia): Peter Grey is a successful New York chef, disgruntled by caustic reviews from the food critic J.T. Franks. He kidnaps Franks, takes him to a cabin in the woods, and forces him to cook his own ‘perfect dinner’.
Sounds like my kind of horror movie, right? I have to say, it wasn’t terrible. And Mario Batali did a pretty decent job with his cameo. All in all, not the worst way to spend an afternoon while digesting brunch. Though, for something labeled as comedy-horror, it could have used more comedy.
Finally managed to give blood today, aka one of my favorite things. I am not sure what it is about me that screams “this girl is going to faint,” but all of the nurses seemed overly concerned and kept asking me if I had ate today/if I was feeling okay. I was tempted to tell them that I used to race to give blood with my friends, but it was hard to get a word in edgewise. Regardless, feeling good one pint lighter.
